A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR
As of early August, media reports have indicated significant spikes in coronavirus cases in most states and in Mercer and Camden counties in NJ. (please keep this in mind before considering a visit to the Church).
The parish office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm
Daily Mass: Monday-Friday @ 8:30am
The building will be open weekdays from 8:00am-4:30pm
Our Lady of Mercy Church will remain closed on weekdays
We will follow a normal schedule of Masses at both churches on weekends, but with 1/3 capacity, many safety restrictions, and potential overflow into Petri Hall
There will be no morning prayer
STM: 5:00pm Vigil, 8:30am, 10:00am, 11:30am
OLM: 7:00pm Vigil, 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am
Outdoor confessions will be offered Saturdays from 3:30-4:30pm
Finally, the dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation remains in effect until further notice. We do NOT want anyone to feel obligated to come if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe
COVID-19 is still extremely contagious, especially indoors or in closed settings
Live-streamed Mass will continue @ 11:00am
Anyone who is sick or at risk should NOT come to church; that is NOT punitive but, rather, common sense and an act of charity toward your neighbor
Masks must be worn (no exceptions), physical contact of any kind must be avoided, social distancing must be practiced, proper sanitation must be observed at all public, in church Masses.
Those who do choose to come will see many necessary changes:
All missals, hymnals, printed materials & pamphlets have been removed from the churches
Holy Water fonts or receptacles have been emptied
Congregational singing is discouraged
Choirs are not to be used
The presentation of offertory gifts is prohibited
Physical contact of any kind at the sign of peace is prohibited
A single file, socially distant communion line will form
Communion in the hand is strongly preferred
An orderly exit from the church must occur, dismissal pew by pew
Only clergy will be permitted in the sanctuary
No public gatherings or greetings before or after Mass
Group devotional observances, and parish social gatherings are suspended until further notice

Healing After Abortion:
Do you know someone who is carrying the grief of a past abortion? There is always hope. The pain and sorrow of abortion does not need to endure for a lifetime. A “Day of Prayer and Healing” offers the opportunity to experience the love and mercy of God and to respond to His invitation to begin the journey of healing the wound of abortion. For upcoming dates, locations, and confidential registration, or just to talk to a Sister, please call the Sisters of Life at (866)-575-0075 (toll free) or reach us by email at email@example.com.
For information about our Youth Group, please contact Deacon Matt Nicosia at 732-490-1592 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
